Whiplash is the term used when the neck is “whipped” forward and back, typically due to a rear-end collision or some other form of car accident. Whiplash can result in severe stiffness and pain in the neck and upper spine, headaches, tenderness in the shoulders and upper arms, and tingling or numbness in the arms, just to name a few. Depending on the severity of the injury, whiplash can be a serious matter, with symptoms sometimes lasting for years.
